We send you the warmest of Spring greetings and hold hope that you are happy, healthy and surrounded by love! It is amazing to think that it's been since 2019 that we gathered, and we do miss you all so much! So much has happened to each of us over these past few years, and the organizing body of Cascadia NW Arts & Music Festival (CNWAMF) is no exception. During these trying years, we’ve lost close friends and crew members, some of us have moved to different locales and some are moving on from the organization. It is with this in mind that we announce the cancellation of Cascadia NW in 2022. Negotiations with the Masonic Family Park, ongoing complications with Covid 19, loss of critical crew and people moving on have led us to deeply consider the future of the festival. In addition, through many difficult, challenging, and thoughtful conversations between the owners, Sienna, Alison, and Michael, the decision was made to dissolve the partnership behind the parent company of CNWAMF.
The feeling that this isn’t the end, but a new beginning is strong. We’ve been around long enough to see many iterations of a blossoming of creativity, celebration, and exploration come and go. We recognize that these are not separate happenings, but a lineage of different blooms, flows, crossovers, and dormancies that are important to the flourishing of expression, art, and love. Michael is acquiring the CNWAMF brand with plans to announce something exciting and hopeful in 2023. (Stay tuned to our socials and website for future announcements for CNWAMF). This is but one branch that may yet blossom from the roots we have all nourished together; there are other branches that have grown even during the last two very challenging years of the pandemic that will continue to to take shape, and we applaud and support you!
We are sad to say goodbye to this iteration, yet hold joy in hearts that we’ve been able to gather in celebration of art and community in the beautiful river-front forest of the Masonic Family Park for six years! These memories we collectively created shine bright in our hearts and minds. We look forward to when Cascadia NW Arts & Music Festival awakens in another iteration; please keep an eye out as Michael makes plans for something new for 2023.
From the deepest parts of our hearts, thank you all for your dedicated support, participation and presence in playing along with our co-created magic!
We love you endlessly!
Alison, Michael, Sienna, and the entire Cascadia NW Arts & Music Festival Crew
